Throwback Thursday – Marritt Hall, Ancaster Agricultural Society

The Ancaster Fairgrounds is home of the Ancaster Fair.
Marritt Hall, proudly constructed by Lanca Contracting, was developed for The Ancaster Agricultural Society. It is a two storey building comprised of heavy timber construction inside the convention hall with perimeter coloured architectural block. The service areas and administration is full frame construction complete with precast second floor with prefinished standing seam roof. In addition to the main hall and its kitchens, there are also four meeting rooms upstairs and a boardroom on the main floor.
Although widely recognized for their fair, the fairgrounds hosts events year-round. This building serves the community for many public events, suitable for everything from weddings to trade shows.
