WILFRID LAURIER UNIVERSITY – LIBRARY AND PRESS GALLERY

Lanca Contracting Limited was awarded the contract to renovate the interior of Wilfrid Laurier University located in Waterloo. The renovations were needed to accommodate the university with a new press gallery. Extensive renovations were completed to their 2nd and 4th floors.
On the 2nd floor, the renovations were to convert the existing 1,750 square foot area into a gallery complete with new entry gift shop, storage room, audio-visual closet, and office gallery display case. The renovated space received new lighting, flooring, painting, and also included four movable display walls and a bi-folding wall to secure gift shop area.
Fourth floor renovations included converting and renovating approximately 1,300 square feet of the existing library area into the new press area complete with open offices, meeting room and two private offices. This converted spaced also received new lighting, flooring and painting.
