APD PRINTING – FIRE RESTORATION

After a devastating fire forced this small, family-operated printing business to cease operations, Lanca Contracting stepped in to manage the demolition and cleanup of the premises. The demolition of the 3,385 ft² shop area involves removing the roof from the production area and remediation of masonry unit walls through the removal of soot and debris caused by the fire’s intense heat. Under the direction of Lanca Contracting’s experienced engineers and contractors, this process will be carried out safely and efficiently, helping restore the business and enabling the return of its 18 local employees upon completion.
The reconstruction includes replacing the roof trusses and steel deck, as well as installing a 4-Ply Built-Up Roofing system to ensure long-lasting water tightness. The HVAC system was redesigned with two high-bay efficiency rooftop heating and cooling units, complete with new ductwork. Additionally, the facility’s outdated electrical system will be upgraded with new lighting and electrical fixtures, providing a modern, well-lit, and fully functional shop floor.
