Lanca Contracting Limited has been awarded the contract to renovate the interior of the Wilfrid Laurier in Waterloo, to accommodate the university with a new press gallery with extensive renovations to their 2nd and 4th floors. On the 2nd floor, the renovations are to convert existing 1,750 square foot area into a gallery complete with new entry gift shop, storage room, audio-visual closet, and office gallery display case. The space is to receive new flooring, painting, room layout, 4 moveable display walls and folding wall to secure gift shop area. This area will also receive new lighting and the exit doors are to be reworked to stair wall. The 4th floor renovations include converting approximately 1,300 square feet of the existing library area into the new press area complete with open offices, meeting room and two private offices. The space will also receive new partition walls and lighting fixtures to suit the new space.
