There are some jobs that are passion projects and an opportunity to showcase an artistic side that industrial projects often do not require. At this Cabana – it was a pleasure working with such hospitable and collaborative clients who allowed Lanca to follow a vision, the results of which are a mixture of soft and hardscapes to create a balanced backyard oasis fit for a postcard. Exposed aggregate concrete borders act as picture frames for colored and stamped inlays on the pool deck and cabana. Raised decorative concrete garden beds provide a transition from the existing outdoor kitchen to the pool area and carry a variety of perennial planting to soften the sightlines. The cabana is a durable mix of stone and siding, finished in modern colors that aim to provide a relaxing ‘beach house’ feel. Offering a two-piece bathroom, fireplace, television, outdoor shower, and storage room. The cabana is an extension of the homes living space on lazy summer days.
