Lanca Contracting Limited was awarded the construction of the Township of Norwich’s newest rural fire station. Situated on Highway 59 in the Town of Burgessville this new fire station will bring much needed fire services to another sublet of the Township. The project is located on newly acquired former agricultural land which requires complete new services and engineered fill.

Site services include complete new storm water pond with new storm water management system running complete throughout new properties to service future development.

The site will require full septic system and well for domestic and sanitary needs in addition to fire fighting water reservoirs.

Four 50,000 litre cisterns will provide for the fire station and fire fighting equipment.

The new fire station is a combination of a Robertson pre-engineered structural building system and conventional construction. It totals 6,400 square feet and will house three apparatus bays, kitchen, training room, offices, and fire service centre.

The exterior cladding is a combination of siding, masonry, and stucco along with fully glazed apparatus bay doors.

Construction is underway and is expected to complete Fall of 2018.
